Fire Safety Engineering

Performance Solutions, FEB and FER

Some 9b projects don’t fit neatly within the standard NCC provisions. That’s when a Performance Solution is required documented through a Fire Engineering Brief (FEB) and Fire Engineering Report (FER). 

Performance solutions are commonly needed for: 

• Travel distances and exit layouts that exceed NCC limits 

• Boundary setbacks that trigger higher fire separation requirements 

• Fire compartmentation issues in complex or evolving sites 

Fire Protection Design

Design Reports and Drawings 

Most class 9b buildings also require fire protection systems designed for building permit approval. We prepare complete Design Reports, including all required drawings, to NCC and Australian Standards. 

Fire Protection include: 

• Hydrants and hose reels 

• Detection and alarm systems for high-occupancy spaces 

• Block plans for submission and site display
